Crest thinks about podcasts the way you do — something to enjoy, not a backlog to manage.
By default, each show gets one slot in your queue. Stale episodes are cleaned up automatically, without judgement. Episodes never build up; they flow through.
Your data lives on your phone. No account, no cloud, no ads. Just you and your podcasts — with optional anonymous analytics if you want to help improve things.
Open Crest and you land on the Now Playing screen — not a towering queue or a wall of recommendations. Just the episode that's ready, and a big Play button.
The developer
I love podcasts — I've listened to them for years, and I've even made a few. But at some point they stopped being entertainment and started feeling like obligation. My queue was always piling up, and I felt overwhelmed every time I opened an app.
I tried every major alternative, and none of them helped me stay current without the anxiety. So I built Crest: an app that thinks about podcasts the way I do — episodes flow through, they don't accumulate.
